Death of an Old Settler
Mrs. Sarah Ann Wolf-Ericson was born at Belle Fountain, Ohio, November 14, 1850, and died at Tampico, Ill., March 29, 1912, aged 61 years, [??] months and 15 days.
She came with her parents to Illinois in 1852 and settled at Walnut.
She was united in marriage to S.P. Erickson Dec. 31, 1974 [yes, that’s what is printed]. To this union ten children were born, five of [??] with the husband and father have passed away. The surviving children are Mrs. J.F. Johnson of Greenville, Henry, James, Albert and Leonard of Tampico.
She leaves to mourn her departure besides her children five brothers: Truman of Topeka, Kansas, [??]don, Hastings, Nebraska, George of [??]don, N.D., Charles of Rockford, Ill., and Lincoln of Seattle, Wash. Also, four sisters Mrs. D.N. Bard of Walnut, Mrs. A.T. Bard, Mrs. Charlotte Bard of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Emma Worthington.
Mrs. Ericson united with the Christian church at Zion in 1895 and remained a steadfast member until her death.
