DEATH OF DENNIS G. FOLEY
Dennis George Foley was born at Rockford, Illinois, October 28, 1855, and died at his home in Hamilton Township, January 5, 1916, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 7 days.
The deceased was married to Miss Margaret Ryan, January 4, 1881 at Dixon, Illinois, and is survived by his wife and the following children: William, Elizabeth, Thomas, Mary, Ralph, Leo, Raymond and Edward. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters; John of Chanute, Kansas; Mrs. Catherine Ness of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Naughtin of Rockford, Illinois; and James of Hamilton, Ill. All were present at the funeral.
One brother, P.H. Foley, proceeded him in death December 22, 1914 at Kiowa, Kansas.
Mr. Foley was a prominent and a prosperous farmer of Hamilton township, a devoted husband, a kind, and indulgent father and to his friends, the soul of fellowship. He will be greatly missed not only by his family and neighbors, but in Walnut, where he was well known and highly respected. The funeral services were held at St. Mary’s church in Tampico, Friday January 7, 1916, conducted by Father McKeon of Harmon, Ill., and the remains were interred in St. Mary’s cemetery.
