L. C. RUSSELL received a telegram from the Soldeirs’ Home at Quincy, Illinois of the dangerous illness of his brother. He left Sunday for Quincy, and Monday evening a telegram was received here announcing the death of James RUSSELL. The remains arrived here Tuesday morning and was met by members of the G. A. R. and placed in a hearse and conveyed to the Center Chapel, Fairfield, where the funeral services were held. Rev. George A. WELLS officiating. The remains of comrade RUSSELL were laid at rest in the Whittington Cemetery.
