DEATH ANGEL SUMMONS TWO

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma NEWMAN were held Tuesday afternoon in the Parent chapel. Rev. Hollis WHARTON conducted the service and gave a message of comfort to the relatives and friends present. Mrs. A.A. YARDE, Sr. and Mrs. Ransom EGERT sang "Rock of Ages" and "Whispering Hope" accompanied by Mrs. R. F. WOODS.

The many beautiful flowers were cared for by Mr. and Mrs. R. J. HARMS.

Burial was in the Tampico Memorial cemetery with six grandsons as pallbearers. They were  Allen Jr. and Donald NEWMAN of Detroit, Mich., Clyde ROSENE of Kasbeer, Warren, Vernon and Ora NEWMAN of Tampico.

Those from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs  Willard PARRISH of Monmouth, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell WITVER  of Walnut, Mr. and Mrs. Allen NEWMAN,  Allen Jr. and Donald of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Charles BEYDLER of DeKalb, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence ROSENE, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde ROSENE of Kasbeer.

Emma E. NEWMAN, 74, passed away June 27, 1948, at the Linton nursing home in Sterling following an illnes of severalyears, having been bedfast the past year.

 Her parents were William and Emma KETTLER who came from Germany and settled in Akron, Ohio, where Mrs. NEWMAN was born Sept. 17, 1874. March 1, 1892 she was united in  marriage to George C. NEWMAN at  Cincinnati, Ohio.  Up untilhis death which occurred on Jan. 25, 1904, they farmed near Napoleon, Ind.

In 1919 Mrs. NEWMAN came to Illinois and lived on farms near Tampico, inter moving to town.

Survivig Mrs. NEWMAN are her twO daughters and five sons, Mrs. Elmer (Louise) WALLACE of Greensburg, Ind., George H. and Charles H. of Lyndon, Robert E. of Dixon, aLLEN f. OF dETROIT, mICH, mRS. cLARENCE (Ida) ROSENE of Kasbeer and Victor of Tampico. One son Leonard E passed away  June 12, 1942 and a great gransdson, Harold
