DIED IN MOLINE SANITRIUM

Edward Welch, Well Known Hahnaman Young Man Dies at Moline -  Funeral Here

Edward WELCH of Hahnaman township died Tuesday morning at 1 o'clock. at the Tri-City sanitarium in Moline. His mother, Mrs. John WELCH, sister, Mrs. P. J. McGUIRE and two brothers, J. J. and T. E. WELCH were at his bedside when life departed.

Mr. WELCH went to the sanitarium ten days ago and submitted to a surgical operation for tumor last Wednesday and gradually failed up to the time of his death. The deceased suffered a paralytic stroke twelve years ago from which he never recovered. Since then he had spent a great deal of time in sanitariums in the hope  of regaining his health, but failed very rapidly for the past fifteen months and realized that he could not long survive.

The funeral services were held at the family home at 9:30 o'clock on Thursday morning and at 10:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Cathlic church in Tampico, Rev. L. X. Dufour officiated and interment was here.

Mr. WELCH was born in Round Grove, January 1, 1867, and later moved to Hahnaman township near Deer Grove where he has made his home. He was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic church of Tampico and was also a member of the modern Woodmen lodge of Deer Grove. He was a young man held in high esteem by his acquaintances and was genial, pleasant and honorable, and his death is mourned by many.

He leaves a mother, Mrs. John WELCH, four brothers, J. WELCH of ****************, John H., C. S. and T. K. of *********an, also fo** sisters, Mrs, ***************** and Mrs. John Devine of ************ Mrs. P. McGUIRE of  ******He*** Potts of Lee ******************fathered about four ********** (newspaper torn)
