Donald Bush
Donald Bush, 89, Morrison, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, Pastor of the Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison officiated. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. A memorial has been established.
Donald was born March 15, 1917 in Morrison, IL to Clarence and Henrietta (Bolt) Bush. He attended the Green Valley School in rural Whiteside County and graduated from the 8th grade. He married Coramae “Cork” Norman on August 13, 1938 in Fulton, IL. She survives.
Donald engaged in farming in the rural Lyndon and Fenton, IL areas. He served as director and president of Mt. Pleasant Mutual Insurance for 35 years.
He was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church and belonged to the Men’s Brotherhood, where he had served as secretary. He was a member of the Whiteside County Conservation District and serve on the steering committee for resource, conservation, and development. He had served n the Green and Fenton School Boards, and also on the board at Resthave Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Cork; two sons, Arlyn (Janette) Bush, Prophetstown, IL, Milton (Janice) Bush, Morrison, IL; four grandchildren, Kim (Paul) Mehring, Craig (Jennifer) Bush, Becky (Brad) Gantt, Kurt (Julie) Bush; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Eloise) Bush, Morrison, IL, Eugene (Wilma) Bush, Morrison, IL.
He was predeceased by one brother in infancy; daughter-in-law, Carol Bush; sister-in-law, Florence Bush.
