Ray V. Rollo, 81, Prophetstown, Dies
 
Prophetstown: - Ray V. Rollo, 81, former garage owner and business man of the Prophetstown community, died early this morning at his home.
 
The body was removed to the Gardner Funeeral Chapel where friends may call.  Funeral services will be conducted at the chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. William Nicoll, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
 
Mr. Rollo was a prominent resident of the Prophetstown community and was one of the original members of the first organized fire department.

Raymond V. Rollow Funeral Services Will Be Held On Tuesday
 
Prophetstown: - Funeral services for Raymond V. Rollo, 81, retired Prophetstown merchant, who passed away in his home early Saturday morning, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Gardner Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. William Nicoll, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
 
Mr. Rollo was born March 9, 1879 in Marseilles, Ill., the son of James and Jane Harper Rollo.  He received his education in the Gold Township schools.   He married Isaphin M. Howlett of Tampico on June 26, 1901.  They moved to Prophetstown from Thomas in 1920.  He was the senior partner in the automobile business, known as Pritchard and Rollo for many years and later known as the Rollo Motor Sales.
 
He attended the First Methodist Church and was also an original member of the Prophetstown Fire Department.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Forrest V., of Prophetstown; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Peterson of Walnut; a sister, Mrs. George Lickhardt of Prophetstown, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by a son, Goerge, a daughter, Mrs. Lois Echelbarger; his parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandson.
