ONIS H. HORRALL
Dr. O. H. Horrall, 72, Retired Surgeon Dies, Funeral On Tuesday
Prophetstown: - Dr. Onis H. Horrall, 72, died Saturday in Chicago following a lingering illness.
The body was brought to the Gardner Funeral Chapel in Prophetstown where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery in Prophetstown.
Dr. Horrall was born on Oct. 24, 1888 in Indiana, the son of Lovell and Isabel Walls Horrall. He was married to Ruby Arnett of Erie in 1916 at the home of her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip B. Arnett.
They had made their home in Chicago for the past 36 years and in recent years resided at 5543 Kenwood Ave.
Dr. Horrall was retired after serving 32 years as the chief surgeon for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad, he was also head of the relief department of the railroad. He served as surgeon for the American Bus Lines and the Valier Coal company, consultant for the Union Pacific railroad and was a practicing physician in Prophetstown which they visited regularly.
Survivors are his widow, one son, William Horrall, Prophetstown; one daughter, Mrs. Collin (Mary Beth) Alexander, St. Paul, Minn., eight grandchildren; one brother, George and one sister Mrs. Geletza Padgett.
A memorial has been established with donations to be given to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
