THEODORE HEMMING TABER
Theodore H. Taber, 74, Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Saturday
 
Prophetstown: - Theodore Hemming Tabere, 74, died suddenly Wednesday morning.
The body was taken to the Gardner Funeral Chapel where friends may call.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, the Rev. Nelson C. Chasteen, officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
 
A memorial has been established by the family with funds to be given to the First Congregational Church.
 
Mr. Tabor was born in Henry county on May 21, 1886, the son of  Nels and Marie Rasmusen Tabor.  He was educated in the Henry county schools and graduated from the Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind., and Brown's Business College in Sterling.
 
He was married to Martha Smith of Prophetstown on May 10, 1916 and they had made their home in Prophetstown since that time.  He was a cashier and bookkeeper in the Citizen's State Bank and the Rock River Lumber and Grain Company.
 
He was a member of the First Congregations Church, the Masonic Lodge,  and the first class of the Moline Consistory.
 
Survivors are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Victor Tate, Kewanee; two granddaughters and one grandson.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and two brothers.
