Raymond Oberele, 56, Dies Suddenly, Rites Will Be Wednesday
Walnut: - Raymond Oberle, 56, carpenter and electrician of the Walnut community, died suddenly in his home in Walnut this morning. Death was due to a heart attack.
The body was removed to the Ross Funeral Home where friends may call Tuesday evening. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the St. John's Catholic Church, the Rev. Edgar Taylor, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut cemetery.
Mr. Oberle was born Dec. 30, 1904 in Prophetstown, the son of Edward and Cora Jaquet Oberle. He was married to Rose Van De Velde in Hooppole on Jan. 12, 1927. They lived in the Hooppole area until 1939 when they moved to Walnut to reside.
Survivors are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Odell, Walnut; one son, Darrell Oberle, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one brother, John, Tampico; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mabel) Bubnick, Peoria; and Mrs. James (Edna) Wirth, Prophetstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandson.
