Obituary

Mr. Gary R. Coers, age 49, of 304 E. Market Street, Tampico, IL, died suddenly  Tuesday evening, June 28, 1994 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident at Timber Creek Road and Mound Hill Road near Sterling, IL.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. in the Tampico United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ann Kvapil, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 204 and 6-8 p.m. in the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. A memorial has been established in his memory in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Coers was born on June 28, 1945 at Sterling, IL, the son of Russell and Josephine Price Coers. He was employed in farming for Gene Grennan near Rock Falls, IL.

He is survived by five daughters, Lisa Coers, Amanda Coers, Cheryl Coers, and Katheryn Coers, all of Sterling, IL and Elaine Coers at home in Tampico, IL, four grandchildren, his parents, Russell and Jospehine Coers of Tampico, IL, two brothers, Russell Coers, Jr. of Tampico, IL and Lester Coers of Savanna, IL; three sisters, Judy Cox of Rock Falls, IL, Mrs. John (Ann) Schlosser and Mrs. Richard (Donna) Schlosser, both of Polo, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
