OBITUARY
Mr. Martin F.Sheffler, AGE 64, of 104 N. Lincoln Street, Tampico, Illinois died early Tuesday morning, January 17, 1989 in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. SHEFFLER was born on September 18, 1924 in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Clyde and Mary Durr SHEFFLER. He was in Tampico, Illinois. He was employed as a switchman on Burlington Northern Railroad for about 35 years and retired in October 1985. He was also employed by Rock River Country Club Pro Shop in Rock Falls and was presently serving as Tampico Village Water Commissioner for the past 2 years.
He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Sterling V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife Verna Lee of Tampico; two sons, Steven of Des Moines, Iowa, and Craig of Clearwater, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. Wally (Marcia) Ahrens of Yorkville, Illinois, Ann Sheffler of Largo, Florida and Lisa Sheffler of Tampa, Florida, five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Billie) Bardouski of Largo, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
