Mrs. Mildred Hussong Waugh, ate 87, of 317 South Main Street, Tampico, died Sunday, August 8, 1999 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Tampico United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Hood, pastor of Leon United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in the Garland funeral Home in Tampico. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Tampico United Methodist Church.
Mildred was born on June 1, 1912 in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Pheoebe Ford Nebergall. She was united in marriage to Everett Hussong and he preceded her in death in 1966. She was then united in marriage to Merle Waugh on August 30, 1975 at Tampico United Methodist Church. She farmed with her husband Everett until 1966 and then worked at Frantz Manufacturing in Sterling, Illinois, until retirement sixteen years ago. She was a member of the Tampico United Methodist Church and the Martha Circle at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Merle of Tampico, one son, DeWayne (Joyce) Hussong of Rock Falls, Illinois; two granddaughters, Connie (Lynn) Von Holten of Sterling, Illinois and Carol (Eugene) Vandermoon of Rock Falls, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jeffrey and Rachel Von Holten, Scott and Traci Vandermoon; one step-son, John (Barb) Waugh of Aledo, Illinois; one sister, Melva Mueller of Tipton, Iowa; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, one sister and one brother.
