Robert F. Nuelle, age 84, of Coventry Village in Sterling and formerly of Tampico, Illinois, died Saturday, December 31, 1994 at Coventry Village.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Garland Funeral Home of Tampico, with the Rev. John Atherton, pastor of the Walnut United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. A memorial has been established in his memory.

Mr. Nuelle was born on July 10, 1910 in Langdon, North Dakota, the son of Frederick and Gertrude Mueller Nuelle. He was united in marriage to Janet Waite on June 18, 1940 at the Yorktown Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on May 5, 1988. He was a janitor at the Tampico Grade School for many years.

Survivors included: two daughters, Mrs. Hal (Anita) Yaeger, of Edina, MN and Mrs. Norman (Jana) Tonkinson of Rock Falls, IL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard of Tampico; Edwin of Prophetstown, IL; and Elmer of Rockford; one sister, Mrs. Edith Warkins of Mount Morris, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, and two sisters.
