George E. Howse Dies Monday
 
Walnut: - George E. Howes, 74, of rural Walnut, passed away at Perry Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted Monday afternoon.
 
He was born May 29, 1891, in Booneville, Ind., the son of David and Elizabeth Chandler Howse.
 
He is survived by his wife, the former Emma Hardy of Walnut;  two sons, Haskell, Booneville, Ind.;  Donald, Dixon;  four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Milgretta) Sheppard, St.Charles;  Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Marliere, Walnut;  Mrs. Lawrence (Joyce) Long, La Vale, Md.;  and Mrs. George (Marjorie) Homer, Kewanee; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Elijah, Walnut, and Elisha, Dayton, Ohio.
 
He was preceded by his parents, two sons, two brothers, and two sisters.
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Whitehead of the First Christian Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.
 
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.

Final Rites for George E. Howes
 
Walnut: - Funeral services for George E. Howes, who died Monday afternoon in the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton were held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Ross Funeral home in Walnut.  Vocalists were Mrs. Richard De Waele and Mrs. Everett Larson, with Mrs. John Foss as organist. Rev. Donald Whitehead, pastor of the First Christian church of Walnut officiated.
 
Casket attendants were Burton Mungor, Dkonald Fritz, John West, Dkonald Lange, Albert Andrews and Laurence Clausen.
 
Interment was in the Walnut cemetery.
