Mrs. M. Harms Succumbs Today, Services Wednesday

TAMPICO - Mrs. Mamie Margaretta Harms, 73, of TAmpico, died early today in Community General Hospital, Sterling.

Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Tampico United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Good officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Cancer Fund.

Mrs. Harms was born May 4, 1897 in Utica, the daughter of Olaf and Laura Larson. She was educated in the Utica Schools and was united in marriage with Richard J. Harms May 31, 1917 in Tampico Township. Mrs. Harms had lived in the Tampico vicinity about 55 years. She was a member of the Tampico United Methodist Church and for 23 years was a member of the Tampico Memorial Cemetery Board. She was active in Home Bureau, the Girl Scouts and 4-H Club activities.

Surviving with the husband are three sons, Clifford of Orlando, Fla. and Lester and Wayne, both of Tampico. There are eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving Mrs. Harms are tow sisters, Mrs. Edward Fullerton of Prophetstown and Mrs. Letha Newman of Tampico. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Harold, two sisters, Mrs. Verna McLaughlin and Mrs. Florence Mickley and one granddaughter.
