Charles Wheat Rites Pending
Prophetstown: - Charles "Hal" Wheat, 81, passed away Friday at St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. Services are pending at the Gardner Chapel here.
He was born Feb. 5, 1891 in Atkinson, the son of Lee Grand and Victoria DeMaranville Wheat, and was educated in Atkinson. He married Bonnie Dickenson of Erie, who passed away on Nov. 29, 1953.
His second wife, Joan Huisingae survives him, along with one son, Charles of Sterling, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
