LOIS  E.  DULING
Mrs. Lois E. Duling, 77, of 1704 16th Ave., Sterling, formerly of Prophetstown, died Saturday evening at Community General Hospital.
 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Leon United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Rachholz, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, Sterling, officiating. Visitation will be at Gardner Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday  A memorial has been establisihed.
 
Lois was born April 13, 1908 in West Jersey, the daughter of Walter and Gladys Taylor Jackson. She graduated from Toulone High School and attended Illinois State University in Normal. She was united in marriage to James H. Duling of Columbus, Ind., on Jan. 2, 1932.  They resided in Indiana until moving to the Prophetstown community in 1942.   She taught schools in Rock Falls and the Prophetstown area for 21 years, retiring in 1962.  She and her husband retired from farming in the Leon community in 1974 and have resided in Sterling since that time.  A former member of the Leon United Methodist Church and presently a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling. She is a member of the WSCS and a member of the Whiteside County Retired Teachers Association.
 
Survivors include her husband, one son, Jack L. of Center Point, Iowa; three grandsons; three great grandsons; one sister, Frances Robbins of Westport, Ind.; one brother, Willard Jackson of Toulone.
