Donald Lange


WALNUT - Donald E. Lange, 84, of 114 Wyanet Road, Walnut, died Friday, March 21, 2008, at his home. He farmed in the Walnut area for more than 40 years.

Mr. Lange was born June 26, 1923, in Berlin Township, the son of John A. and Leona (Nissen) Lange. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He married Pearle Hopkins on March 14, 1937, in Walnut. He was a member of First Christian Church, Walnut.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Joseph (Mary) Lange, of Wylie, Texas, and Charles Jay (Drema), of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters-in-law, Minnie Lange and June Lange, both of Princeton, and Lois Conner, of Walnut; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and two sisters.

The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of First Christian Church of Walnut, officiating. Burial, with military honors conducted by Walnut American Legion Post 179, is at Walnut Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
