STANLEY L. HERBON, 73, oF 302 8th Ave.,Rock Falls, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home, Rock Falls, with burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Herbon was born July 28, 1916 in Tampico, the son of Charles and Ina Lane Herbon. He married Elsie Estella McNinch, May 24, 1946, in Morrison. He was a retired chief roll builder for Northwestern Steel and Wire Corp. He was a member of Rock Falls American Legion Post 902.
Survived by his wife, Elsie, a sister, Mrs. Milfred (Marion) Olsson of Phoenix, Arizona, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by four brothers and a sister.
