CAMP-MARSHANG VOWS SOLEMNIZED IN KINDOM HALL

Miss Sylvia Camp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Camp, 501 N. West St., Kewanee, and James Lyle Marshang, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Marshang, 508 Elm Avenue, Sterling, were married Saturday, September 12, , in the Rock Falls Kindom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Double ring vows were read by Wayne Howard, presiding minister. Pink gladioli and white pompons were the floral decorations. Organ selections were played by rs. Susie Veseley of Clinton, Iowa.

Attending the bride was, Miss Linda Larson as maid of honor. Allan Marshang was best man for his brother. The ushering was done by Alexander Darragh of Galva. Noel DeBier of Neponset and Richard Hagemann of Kewanee.

The bride’s gown was full length in delicate nylon – lace over taffeta. A scalloped square neckline had pleated net detailing and the long sleeves were tapered. The floor length bouffant skirt was ruffled in back. She wore a crown of pearls to hold her short illusion veil. The bride carried pink roses and white miniature carnations in a cascade bouquet.

A gown of nylon sheer over taffeta with a pink long sleeved lace bodice and a full skirt was worn by the maid of honor. Her circular nose veil was held by a matching crown. She carried a round bouquet of pink and white miniature carnations.

RECEPTION HELD – At3:30 o’clock reception was held in the American Legion Home in Rock Falls. Sisters of the bride, Mrs. Margaret Blodgett and Mrs. William Wargren of Kewanee, took care of the gift table. The wedding cake was baked and served by Mrs. Miles Wharfield, aunt of the bridegroom, assisted by Pamela Wharfield of Rock Falls,.

Mrs. Alexander Darragh of Galva had charge of the guest book. Others assisting in serving were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Michand and Diane, Mrs. Frank McBride, Mrs. Albert Ward, Ruth Ann Ward, Mrs. Lelia Endress and Mrs. Florence Krause of Kewanee.

When the couple left on a wedding trip to the Ozarks, the bride was attired in a three piece beige nylon knit suit with beige and brown accessories. She had a red rose corsage.

The bride is a graduate of Kewanee High School and is employed at McLellans in Kewanee. A graduate of Sterling High School, the bridegroom is an employee of International Harvester Co., in Rock Island.

The couple has furnished an apartment at 612 S. Main St., Kewanee.

Out of town guests were from Kewanee, Moline, Princeton, Dixon, Aurora, Chicago, Galva, Neponset, Baileyville, Round Grove, Lanark and Clinton, Iowa.
