LOLA NELSON & CLYDE REUM
Betrothal of Miss Lola Nelson and Clyde Reum Announced at Supper
Mrs. R. F. Nelson of Tampico entertained at a delightful 7 o'clock buffet supper Wednesday evening at which time the approaching marriage of her daughter, Miss Lola Mae Nelson, to Clyde Reum of Niles, Mich., which will take place Saturday, Oct. 12, was announced. Centering the serving table was an angel food cake decorated in the bride-to-be's chosen colors of yellow and brown, and across the top was written "Lola and Clyde, Oct. 12." The guests were seated at quartet tables which had appropriate covers and napkins and the tables were centered by brown tapers in yellow holders. At each place was a book of matches with the words, "A Good Match" on the cover, and "Lola and Clyde, Oct. 12," on the inside. LaFerne Renner and Betty Temple assisted in the evening.
During the evening, cootie and contack were played with prizes being awared to Mrs. H. J. Kolb of Tampico, and Mrs. Keith Brandon of Rock Falls. Others present were Mrs. Robert Sworm of Dixon, Mrs. Keith Wheelock of Galt, Mrs. Neil Hamblock of Deer Grove and Miss Dorothy Cain, Mrs. Emery Wallgren, Mrs. Harry Hurd, jr., Miss Genevieve Steadman, Mrs. Lourde Renner, Mrs. Leroy Kelly and Miss Helen Woods.
