RICHMOND FAMILY DONATES TO TACB IN MEMORY OF CORRINE RICHMOND
by Terry L Gaskill
Mark Richmond, son of Corrine Richmond who passed away July 10th,
2008 of cancer, said my mother wanted to do something for the Tampico Area
Community Building (TACB) by giving padded chairs. The family went and
bought 32 black padded chairs and donated them to the TACB located at 106
W. Market St., in Tampico, IL in memory of their Mother Corrine Richmond
by her request before she died. This donation will greatly add to the
comfort and use of the community building and was graciously accepted by the
officers.
Anyone wishing to use the TACB may contact Coordinators Anita
Stickel at (815)-438-5631 or Shirley Lester (815)-438-7447 for more
information.
TACB provides room for 100 people and has a wonderful kitchen and
separate handicap bathrooms and the building is handicap accessible with
no steps and has a color TV with climate controlled heating and air
conditioning and rental of the building is only $45 which includes a $5
key deposit that will be returned if the key is returned, but for non-
profit organizations not using the building to make a profit it is free of
charge.
