Three children of Hugh Duffey, a boy and two girls, a farmer residing near Nelson, were drowned in Rock river on Tuesday of last week. They were ten, twelve, and fourteen years old, and were in the river bathing when the accident occurred. Two of the bodies were recovered at Sterling and the other about two miles above Lyndon, a few days after the catastrophe took place.
