TAMPICO TEAMS HIT WINNING PACE
LOCAL PLAYERS BREAK HOODOO AND START GETTING SHARE OF GAMES AT LAST
One of the best basket ball games of the season took place last Friday night when the locals won from Harmon by a score of 28 to 18 in a clean hard fought game. There were no fools charged up to either team and the best of spirit prevailed throughout the game. The game was very close during the first part with Harmon leading for a time. Later on, one of the Harmon players was injured and one of the Tampico boys substituted for him the balance of the game. The line up was as follows:
HARMON R. F - Smith L. F. - Keigler Center - Downs R. G - McCormick L. G. - Knott Substitute - John Darby
TAMPICO R. F. - Pitts L. F. - Tonkinson Center - Parent R. G. - Kepner L. G -Ralph Loudenburg Substitutes - Earl Loudenburg, H. Darby, Kelly ER. G. - McDonald L. G. - Mitchell
The visiors were a fine bunch of young men and it is hoped that they will play another game here in the near future.
Tampico won another basket ball game on Monday night when they came back at Lyndon by a score of 26 to 19 in a fast and thrilling contest. The visitors took the lead in scoring in the first half of the game but were unable to hold out the pace and compete with the locals who made a number of changes in the line up. The line up was as follows:
TAMPICO R. F. - R. Loudenburg L. F. - Tonkinson Center - Parent R. G. - J. Darby L. G. - Kepner Substitutes - Pitts, E. Kelly, R. Kelly and H. Darby
There was large crowd to enjoy the game and the clean fast playing of both teams was greatly appreciated. They expect to play at Lyndon some night this week.
