Tampico Tornado, August 21, 1913
A prominent Fairfield township farmer commenting on the fact that the assessor's books showed more money invested in autos than was on deposit in banks remarks that if he remembered correctly, Tampico township has $19,460 tied up in autos and only $16,020 in the mortgage lifting hogs, and $19,026 in household furniture showing that Tampico too is getting more money in the buzz wagons than in hogs and household furniture.
