Geo. W. Howe is Bankrupt

Ex-county clerk, George W. HOWE of Morrison has filed a petition to go into bankruptcy. His liabilities are stated to be at least $60,000, and his attorneys claim that his assets will cover this amount. Mr.HOWE is very well known here as he has visited Tampico a number of times and has friends here who regret to learn o f his financial trouble. It is claimed his failure was brought about by investing too heavily in live stock which was purchased at high prices and then sold at a loss later.
