METHODIST CHURCH
Large Crowd at Dinner at Methodist Church Sunday
Following the regular morning services at the Methodist church Sunday morning, during which the choir furnished special music, a dinner was served cafeteria style in the church basement as a reception to Mr. and Mrs. J. S. WHITE and family who recently moved here. About 150 were present at the dinner.
Committees in charge of the affair were: Mrs. H. M. HIGLEY, general chairman; kitchen, Mrs. Harry FUTHEY, chairman; Mrs. Mary WOOD; Mrs. Ham WARNER; Mrs. Charles WHEELOCK; they were assisted by Mrs. Ernest TOPPERT of Prophetstown,; dining room, Mrs. R. P. LOUDEN BERG, chairman; Mrs. Frank A'HEARN; invitation, Mrs. L. E. CHAPIN, chairman, Mrs. N. E. DENISON and Miss Dorothy CAIN. Members of the J O Y class served as waitresses.
Among those from out of town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd KEPNER and daughter, Ellen Denise; Mr. and Mrs. H. H. COLBY and daughter Carolyn and son John, of Walnut; Mis Dorothy BUCEMI of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest TOPPERT of Prophetstown; Mrs. Rebecca FERRIS and Miss Virginia NELMS of Sterling.
