Historical Newspapers Thomson Review (Thomson, Illinois) 1929 October 24

Announcement is made of the appointment of Rev. Joseph P. Egan , St. Joseph's church in Apple River, to the pastorate of the Immaculate Conception parish at Fulton, Ill. the announcement was made from the chancery offices of the Rockford Catholic diocese.

 

Rev. Egan will succeed the Rev. J. J. Clancy, who leaves Fulton to take a pastorate at Dixon. Fr. Egan was born in Sterling and was ordained there May 29, 1920 by the late Bishop P. J. Muldoon. He graduated from the St. Mary's seminary in Baltimore and served as assistant  in parishes at Tampico, Galena, and Belvadere.
