BREWER, FREDERICK A. (Representative, Republican), Tampico, farmer; was born in Washington, D. C., September 26, 1875. He was educated at Evanston Academy and Northwestern University; while at the University he was prominent in athletics, being a member of the football, track and tennis teams. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity and had charge of the Educational Department of the University settlement. Upon completing his education, he became superintendent of the Tampico public schools and principal of the high school, occupying these positions for five years. For thirteen years he has been actively engaged in farming; for seven consecutive years was supervisor, and in 1914 was elected chairman of the board. He resinged as chairman upon being eleceted a member of the House of Representatives in the Forty-ninth General Assembly and was re-elected to the Fiftieth General assembly. He married Cora C. BLANCHARD of Portland., Michigan. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church, a Mason and an Elk.
