There are several Curley’s buried in the Greenville/Fairfield Cemetery posted on this site. No James Elmer, though.

I hope the originator of this string checks back: I think the relative you are quiring about was not James Elmer, but, rather, Elmer James CURLEY.
Elmer James, born December 10, 1870 in Fairfield, Bureau Co., IL, was the son of Henry Harvey & Mary Elizabeth nee NEWELL CURLEY (Henry was the son of Jacob & Anna nee OLMSTEAD CURLEY. H.H. was born December 1846. Mary E. was the dau of James Monroe & Elizabeth Ann nee JOHNSTON CURLEY. Mary E. was born April 21, 1849 in Bureau Co., IL).
Elmer James sibs were: Jacob Monroe (b 1869 m Josephine E. O'DELL), John Relius (b 1872 m Mary NOON) , William H. (b. 1874 m Julia M. BAXTER), Luella Betty (b 1877 m Wm. BALDWIN), Anna Mabel (b 1879 m Henry M. TAYLOR), Alice E. (b 1883 m Henry P. MURPHY), Cloyd Cleveland (b1884 m Maude C. HALL), Mary Elizabeth (b 1887 m John A. FARRELL), and Minnie Claudessia (b 1889 m Henry J. JOHNSON).
Elmer James m Evie Belle FOX (b March 16, 1876) July 21, 1897. Elmer and Evie had the following children:
Percy A. b 1898 Bureau Co., IL Mina F. b Ca 1900 Bureau Co., IL Elmer A. b Ca 1902 Bureau Co., IL Elva A. b Ca 1902 Bureau Co., IL
(note that Elmer and Elva were twins - male and female)

I was not aware that Elizabeth Johnston Newell married a Curley. Is this a typo? If not I have learned something new again. Sue
