I am researching my Bryant line, which goes back to Tampico, Illinois. My great great grandfather, William C. Bryant (b. 1853) married a woman with the surname of West who was from Tampico.
So far, I found a record in the state index of a William C. Bryant's marriage to a Mary West in 1872 (I am waiting for this cert. from county clerk). I also noticed a Maryett West in the West family bible posted on this site. I was wondering if this was the same Mary West and I was hoping that someone else here had some information that could confirm my ancestor's link to the area. The only other information I have about William is that his son Everett's birth either occurred in Tampico, Ill. or in Tacoma, Wash. in 1879 (the records I have contradict each other on this point).
Any help would be very welcome,

Well, I received the marriage license of William C. Bryant to Mary West in Tampico (Jul. 3, 1872). However, as the clerk warned me via email, there is almost no additional information on the license that wasn't on the index.
Is there anyone that would know more about the West family in Tampico?

Have you used the site-search engine (located on Home Page of this site)? There is a whole Family Photo Album on the West family, as well as other info.

Yes, that is how I found the info about Maryett West (b. 1853) mentioned in my first message. But there is no other info I could find that mentions Maryett West beyond her birth record in the West family bible.
I was hoping that someone that has researched the West family might know what happened to her so that I might determine if she is the "Mary West" my Bryant ancestor married.
So does anyone know what happened to DeWitt West's sister Maryett West (b. May 20, 1853)?
