Looking for family history beyond the 1877 Bent-Wilson book on the family of Jeduthan Seely, b 1778 Washington Co, NY and Sally Gibbs b 1781 Utica, Oneida Co, NY. My gggg grandfather was their son, Alexander J Seely. Alexander died in Michigan probably the fall of 1839 when he left for the family's winter supplies. Indians broke into the family cabin on the day he left and searched everywhere for the two children of Alexander's. Both Janette and Loretta were quiet under the table, which had a tablecloth down to the floor and they were not discovered. This happened north of where Stanton, Montcalm Co, Michigan is today.
I would like to know of any family photos (besides the Col Ebenezer Seely photo in the 1885 Whiteside Co History). I have a couple pictures of Alexander Seely's wife and daughter.

Have you tried checking the History books for Michigan? You can get them on CD very reasonably - Here's the web URL of the place I use:
