Hi Debra, I was hoping you guys would have stayed at the Canal House B&B in Tampico. Only one day? How will you all get to see everything?
I talked with the TAHS, and they would love to have the Yorktown Cemetery Walk on that day, obviously portraying any of your people (we usually do about 3 or 4 people). Afterwards, we meet at the Community Bldg in Yorktown for refreshments. Will your group be willing to represent 3 or 4 people? Are they interested in doing this? We thought we would leave details as to who would be represented and what time to have this up to your group, since you will be on such a tight schedule. We can handle the refreshments and clean-up on our end.
Let me know if this is feasible. Thanks. Denise ---------- Denise Family History Coordinator Tampico Area Historical Society

Hi Denise- Some people may be coming in on Friday and staying through the weekend but don't have any definite committments to that as of yet- I am not sure if anyone wants to portray anyone- I am still waiting for Richard Hinton to get back to me as he had some things he wanted to do also- sounds like they may have to stay longer huh?- When we get some more definite replies I will let you know. Hi Deb, I thought having the cemetery walk would be something the group would want to do. If no one wants to represent a relative, then I don't know if we need to schedule our cemetery walk at that time (last year, we had it in Sept.)If you only have the one day to see and do everything, I doubt you would have enough time to partake in a cemetery walk.
I'm still working on our Tampico Memorial Day Cemetery Walk, so there is no rush on my end for a difinitive answer yet. Perhaps if any of the folks attending the reunion would be interested in having the Yorktown Cemetery walk on July 8, they could post it here in this message thread. Thanks - ---------- Denise Family History Coordinator Tampico Area Historical Society
