I have found a Linnie A. SHERE in our funeral log. She was mistranscribed on the original cemetery list as Linnie SHERER. I have made the correction to the index and posted what information is available. I haven't photographed her headstone yet. Since she died after the TORNADO stopped publishing, I won't have an obit on site. Does anyone have an obit for her? If so, would you share? Also, who is she the widow of? Any additional info would be appreciated. See link below for info on Linnie:

Ok, I went out and photographed the gravestone. She is the widow of John Ellis Shere (1877-1950). I should have his obit and will post it shortly. I will have to go to Sterling to see if they have Linnie's obit since she died after the TORNADO stopped publishing. If anyone already has it, I sure would appreciate a copy :>) Thanks ---------- Denise Family History Coordinator Tampico Area Historical Society

Linnie, as noted, is the wife of John Ellis SHERE; to whom she was married January 6, 1909.
Linnie A. DENNISON was born to Leslie Walter and Maude nee DOW DENISON in North Dakota in 1888 (actually known as "the northern half of the Dakota Territory in 1888.) Linnie died in Tampico December 27, 1966.
Leslie Walter was the son of Henry L. & Louise A. nee NEWTON DENNISON and was born in Illinois October 29, 1863.
Maude was the daughter of William Henry Harrison "Tip" (brother of my gg grandfather Benjamin F.) and Lydia M. BROWN. Tip m Susannah E. nee GRAY - LANE after Lydia died. (Tip was Susannha's 2nd husband, first was Charles A. LANE who died in Leon in 1878; and Susannah was Tip's 2nd wife, first was Lydia M. BROWN who died in Yorktown in 1884.) William H.H. "Tip" DOW died in Pasadena, CA and was known for inventing a special cure for cancer which he willed to his widow Susannah E. nee GRAY; the children being cut out of the will.
Linnie's siblings included:
Louise Lois m Henry J. KLOB Richard H.
John's siblings included: Ralph Bessie Leona m Harry E. DOW (son of Tip and Ben's brother Henry "Harry" Clay DOW) Jesse Leroy m Eloise B FOUTH Maude Edna m Harry MARTIN, then George BLACKERT
Maude Edna & Harry MARTIN had a daughter Marge MARTIN who married Unknown HINTERTHUER.
Marge was the person who posted under "Marge099" on June 6, 2006 in the SHERE/PIERCESON message board. Unfortunately, last week I was appraised by her son that Marge passed away September 29, 2006 as a result of complications resulting from a recent surgery. Marge was 87 years old.

I incorrectly showed Maude nee DOW DENISON's date of death (7/16/39) as that of Linnie nee DENISON SHERE. Linnie died December 27, 1966. I have made the correction in my posting above. Sorry for the confusion. Les

Does anyone else remember Lennie's popcorn stand on Saturday night? (late 1940"s early 1950"s) You could smell it all over Main Street. It really tasted great!!!
