If this doesn't work out, get back to me and I'll get the obit on my next trip to library.

I checked the online index for Lyndon Cemetery - LOTS of Allens, but I couldn't see Ann or Albert.
Lyndon Cemetery - A's

I don't think this is your lady, but perhaps related:
Genealogy Trails/Whiteside Co. has the following:
Obit for a Mrs. Albert J. Allen of Prophetstown, Sept 2, 1938 [revised date]
Obit: Mrs. Albert J. Allen
(I notice it says wife of Alfred Allen in body of obit and Mrs. "Albert Allen" as heading.

Also an "Ann (Carter) Allen, w/o John Allen, died 1933. (on same page as above)

Whiteside Co., IL - Lyndon Cemetery

I had noted in prior msg that the listing was indexed as Albert, but obit said Alfred. However, the date was not Oct. Here is what has been transcribed on Genealogy Trails:

MRS. ALFRED J. ALLEN - Funeral rites for Mrs. Alfred J. Allen of Prophetstown, who died Tuesday, (30 August 1938) were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Prophetstown Congregational Church. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. Rev. I. C. Campbell conducted the rites. The many beautiful floral offerings were silent tokens of love and esteem from the many relatives and friends. Those who assisted with the flowers were Mrs. Floyd Emmons and Mrs. Wilbur Miley of Lyndon, member of the Teachers Club, of which Miss Irene Allen, daughter of the deceased, is a member. Burial was in the Lyndon Cemetery. The pallbearers were Clayton Hill of Clinton, Ia., Claude Olinger of Lyndon and Earl Darnell, William Buchwal, Frank Angell and Clarence Olinger. Among those from a distance who attended the services were: Clinton, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lenson; Low Moor, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hill; Geneseo, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krinjob, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bartz, Mrs. Yahnke; Sterling, Mr. and Mrs. Gleen Kelsey; Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tripp; Round Grove, Mrs. William Allen, Albert Allen. Rock Falls, Mrs. Phyllis Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Compton and family; Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. William Neary, Mrs. Edna Beardsley and son, Allen; Washington, D.C. Mr. and Mrs. Eris Carlisle.

ALLEN OBITS LISTED ON GENEALOGY TRAILS/WHITESIDE COUNTY"

The October date was an error on my part and I will correct it. Thank you for notifying us.

FYI - I have no input or way to correct that information posted on Genealogy Trails. It is a different website than ours. That is why I try to include a link to the information and provide the source. It is up to the researcher to weigh the accuracy, etc. Thanks again, Patti
