The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

At my last visit to Tampico back in November 2006, I had the privilege and honor to meet many wonderful people and I would like to thank you for the hospitality and warm welcome, especially Beverly (great B&B, Canal Street and Diner), Denise McLaughlin, the Historical Society members, and many others.
I hope to be making another trip someday soon.

It was OUR pleasure meeting and accomodating you as well. I will pass your message on to Beverly. She recently lost her husband, Terry Adamson, so has had a "heavy load" these days. She will appreciate your kind words.
