The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

My trip to Tampico in November was like discovering a treasure chest of information. Below are links to images that I took of over 360 names, with nearly 70 of these names from my family. The originals are located at the Tampico Historical Societies wonderful building.
A small list of some of the surnames: Foy, Love, McKenzie, Burdick, Emmons, Brooks, Hunter, Fields, Greenman, Love, Paith, Morrill, and many more... Well over 320 of the names are from the 1896-1919 funeral log alone.
