The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

The Tampico High School Alumni Association has set a new date for their
annual banquet. This years' banquet will be held on Saturday, July 14,
at
Deer Valley Country Club in Deer Grove. The Tampico High School was in
existence from 1886 until 1996. All graduates are invited to attend.
The
officers are in need of current addresses of former graduates. Please
contact Mary Anne Batten at 815-438-5895 if you have any information on
members who have moved from the area. The classes of 1942, 1947, 1957,
1967
and 1982 will be especially honored at this time. For more information
on
this annual event feel free to contact Mary Anne Nuelle Batten or Joan
Olson
Johnson.
