My gr gr grandmother was Martha Davis Prey. Minnie M. Prey b. 1871 Centerville, Ne. to Thomas and Martha Prey was my gr grandmother. She m. Isaac C. Knotts in Ne. in 1888. I believe we may be family. Any info you would care to share would be apprecated greatly. I would share any and all I have. I'm very excited to find this website. Please let me know.

Dear Annie,
This past winter I spent many hours collecting and filling my family file with information on the Reuben Davis family. Martha J.(Davis) Prey, is a daughter of Reuben and his first wife, Mary Ann Geddes.
I'm going to direct you to some information that needs a lot of correcting, but I believe your branch of this family will be pretty correct. I have sent an updated family file to Denise, and it needs to be done again, as I now know that Reuben and family WERE NOT in Lyndon for the 1860 census. This will change some of the born and death locations on some of the later children as it sets in the present file. I'm now aware that the 1860 Lyndon census included families in Montmorency and possibly a portion of Hanahman township, because of the Lyndon Post Office territory. It's boiling down to a pretty solid assumption that the Rock Island House that Reuben's wife Elizabeth mentions in an interview in her last years was located in Como, and NOT the stage coach stop east of Lyndon. So, locations and some other data are in a real big need of up dates.
On this web site, go to Table of Contents; select Family Histories; then arrow down and select "Descendants of Reuben Davis", and enjoy.

Reuben's second wife, Elizabeth Work, is a sister of my 2nd. great grandmother, Louisa.
