I am researching an Eldred family from Phrophetstown, Illinois. In particularly looking for an obituatry on William Eldred.
William had several children who married in to the following families; Foy, Pierce, Steadman,Hamilton and Baker. Any information concerning the Eldred family would be appreciated.

No Eldred families listed in Tampico, but lots of Foys, Pierces, Steadmans - see our CemeteryDirectory. If you know which ones are yours and give me their death dates, I can copy the funeral book listings for you. Often these have more information on the family. To the guest who is looking for Eldred's. There are lots of Foy's buried in the Leon Cemetery, in fact, I believe that a Foy donated some property for the old original Leon cemetery. They sold lots and used the money to build a meeting house, and later built the Leon Church beside the cemetery. There is also a Pierce buried there and a couple of Steadman's. I have some old papers in my possession with the Eldred name on them, so they must have owned some property in the Leon Community at one time.
There are lots of Eldred's buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown: A.M., Charles, Dolly, Eliza F., Floyd, Frank, Harry, John, Joseph, Julia Drain, Michael, Pearl, Sarah, Vernie, & William S.
If any of these sound familiar, we can search further.

I am interested in the William S. Eldred you show buried in the Riverside Cemetary. Also the documents listed by Eldreds. I have several documents, but am looking for more information on William S. I do have all of his children and know that he died in Phrophetstown after about 1867. His first wife Mary Ella died after 1860. Do not have a place of burial for either. William's second wife was Elizabeth Steadman.
