The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

My name is Lorie (Conkel) Adkins. My grandmother was Ruby E. (Glassburn) Conkel, from Ohio - parents George Noah Glassburn and Adela Mae Wiseman. I am working on my family tree. I was wondering if anyone had any info on a Glassburn family reunion that used to be held in southern Ohio. Any help or info would be great. Thanks!

Welcome Lorie,
You should receive some pertinent info from some of our readers on this. I will see what I can find. Also do a site search or go to our FAMILY HISTORIES section and check out the Glassburn histories. We have serveral. We also have the David Glassburn, Virginia Pioneer book at our facility.
