I am looking for some kind of record of my Grandfather's burial. The 1937 newspaper says he was interred at Greenville Fairfield Cemetery but I can find no record of of it. Can you help me?

Lots of Johnson's listed, but no Truman. Do you have any other names in that family? - perhaps he would be buried near them. What is the exact date of his death, if I may ask?

Hello,
Here is an e-mail message that I received from a fellow researcher, dated Nov. 11 2005.
"I do have a bit of good news, if you could call it that. I have found the grave of Loyal Truman Johnson in the Greenville / Fairfield Cemetery. He is in the back south west section between Arthur Immall to the East and Henry Burgess to the West facing the road. I didn't get the lot # but I did go there today and see for myself. It is in section C of the cemetery. There are 8 plots in that lot and he is the only one there. You can see the sunken grave where he is at. He is just about right straight across the little road inside the cemetery from Mae Gudgell to the South."

Well, how blind am I??? Here it is. I don't have the book with me to check on the location, but your description pretty much says it all! Thanks Vivian.

OK - here is what is listed in cemetery list:
Lot 29 (Lot Owner - Loyal Truman Johnson)
JOHNSON Loyal Truman, bur. Sept 26, 1937 - No marker, only a plant holder on lot

No one else is listed in that lot.
