Mary Ann Dawson is my great grandmother. She was born in Tampico and married Gustavas Adolphus Hein from Hahnaman on 12 April 1882. Mary Ann's father was Patrick Dawson of Ireland. I don't know anything more than that about him. Any info about Patrick would be most appreciated.

Hi David, I am so sorry - we do not have obits for Patrick or his wife, Mary or daughter Mary! We only had the Mar. 17 issue of the 1888 paper for Patrick. It is possible his obit could have been in the Mar. 10 issue.
I do not have any Jan. issues of the 1904 paper for wife Mary.
I had the papers for daughter Mary Hein, but could not find an obit in 1894 paper.
I would definitely contact Marilyn at the Sterling Library and have her check the Gazette papers. Sterling Public Library 102 West Third Street Sterling, Illinois 61081 Phone: 815-625-1370 Fax: 815-625-7037 Genealogy: genealogy@sterlingpubliclibrary.org
Sorry I could not help more. Denise
