I’m looking at Plat Maps and following the 3 pieces of land that my g-grandfather, Marcus Ruel Lyon, owned in Sections 6 & 7. Section 6 is the NW section, Section 7 immediately below. Marcus had three 80 acre pieces; 2 in Section 6 that touched corners, the 3rd in Section 7, sharing a portion of the boundary with the southern piece in Section 6. These 3 plots went to Marcus’ daughter, Lottie, and appear in the name of her husband Frank West. The lots passed to Frank and Lottie’s daughter, Corzetta West Goble. Corzetta died in 1974. As of 1979 Plat Map the 3 plots are listed as “Center Villa Farm.” Based upon research, I know Corzetta and Wesley Goble had one son, Donald Wesley Goble, and he had 3 children; Terry (male), Chris (male), Lonna, and Carmen.
I'm interested in knowing whether these 3 plots remain in the Goble family, and if so, I would love to hear from the family. I can be reached by e-mail at hartnellsl(at sign) comcast (dot) net.

Just so folks can get a visual to where the land is, here is a plat map of Tampico Township, ca. 1872. Click on photo to enlarge. Then click on magnifying glass icon in upper right corner to enlarge and pan map. (Sec 6 & 7- owned by G Marfleet & C. Coon)

Sandi, I have a 1982 Platt map: What was "Center Villa Farm" in NW Sec 6 is owned by Lana Zschesche, etc. 150.97 a + it zig-zags east & south. I think this is part of a Zschesche estate. There aren't too many Zscheshe's out here and as far as I know they are all related. Brian Zschesche broadcasts on a local radio station. His wife is a teacher at Prophetstown High School.
Property just below (still Sec 6) is owned by Harold Plautz. In the '1979, I think it was "Dorothy Plautz."
In the 1979, NW Section 7 = H. Leroy Carlson In 1982 NW Section 7 Arlyn & Kay Koelher (HUMONGOUS farmland!)The Koelher's attend our church. They also own acreage in Sect's 18 & 19.
Lana Zschesche, etc. also owns property adjacent to the east of Koelher farms in Sect. 7. (Zschesche land is same as you describe in sect's 6 & 7)
I can scan and email photo of plat if you like.
Does this help any?
