The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

Recently I emailed a query regarding Catholic Cemeteries in Sterling, IL. I received the following information:

There is no online source for Catholic Cemeteries – but there are two in Sterling. 1) Sacred Heart Church, 815-625-1134 and St. Mary Church (Calvary Cemetery) 815 -625-0640. Hope this helps.
