We live in the farm last oned by the Buckley's(John). It is on the Bureau/Henry County line rd in Fairfield township(Yorktown) and was wondering if anybody has any information on it? We know that A tornado took off part of the kitchen roof and took off the 2nd(3rd from east)story (gambel roof)of the big barn and lifted and moved the east end a foot. We had an older gentleman stop lasat year from southern state telling us about how he grew up there, but we never got his name and fear something happened to him since he said he was going to stop by later in the Sept. 07 and he never stopped by. Does anyone have any information or pictures of the farm.

Hello McFunny Farm, Love the "screen name"! This will be fun to research. I'm wondering if any of our P-town people might be familiar with it also. Hope others will add to this message if they know anything. I'll see what I can find also. Do you have a photo of the place? I can post it if you send it to me. Denise

Hi there-was just reading the postings on this web-site and came across your message. Guess what? John Buckley is my husbands uncle and he spent many summers there with his uncle and aunt Jean. The offspring of John and Jean live here in Kewanee and I can contact them for you if you would like and get some more info. We heard all about the tornado from Uncle John many times. Since the house has been sold we have driven by many times wondering who lives there now. What kind of information are you looking for? Kathy and Bill

Katrina & Tami, I talked with Helen Buckley today, wife of John Buckley (Jr.? - son of John Buckley). She said she has a photo of the farm and is looking for it now. When she finds it, I can post it to the site in our Picasa Album.
Katrina, If you have photos, you can also email them to me and I will upload them to site as well. Thanks! Denise

Hi Denise-I was going to suggest that you could look up John and Helen Buckley. I don't have any pics of the house, mainly older pics of John and Jean. Katrina (Kathy)
