The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

So Denise, I now teach U.S. History in Belvidere. I have inspired my students to stop in Tampico if they ever drive by. They are intrigued by the Amish population and just a tad bit about Reagan. They are begging for a class trip. LOL. Maybe if they all get A's. Riiiight.

Oh Yeah, Jenee. Or is that "yee, Jenee"? (smile) I do hope they will come by and see us sometime. You have inspired me to get more info on our Amish friends and their community just south of town. At least give them the URL of this site, ok???
Congrats to you deary! I remember when we first met, you were just starting college. Too cool!
