The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

Janet39 41 posts Dec 14, 2008 3:37 PM	Lisa, Hooppole is in Henry County. I believe in Yorktown Township. As far as I know the cemetery in Hooppole is Hooppole Cemetery and then there is one in the country outside of Hooppole that is St. Mary's Cemetery. There is a little Catholic Church out in the country near Hooppole that is St. Mary's of the Field and has a nice shrine inside and a rolle bolle rosary outside. Very pretty place to visit. Janet
Lisa84 14 posts Dec 15, 2008 9:51 AM	Thank you Janet for your reply! Is there only two cemeteries in Hooppole? there are several graves of my relatives at the Hooppole cemetary. It is on the main street go straight and turn right. There is a hill. So, that is the "Hooppole cemetary"?
