The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

Hi,
The Find-a-Grave web site at http://www.findagrave.com/ has become even
better as a source for genealogical research (and to honor one's loved
ones). It is now possible to provide links for an individual's parents,
spouse, and children. The site is free and has over 28 million graves in
its virtual cemetery, with more being added every day. One of many reasons
that I like the site is that I can put more detailed information on an
ancestor there than at my family genealogy site. I recommend the site and
hope you will consider becoming part of Find-a-Grave. And, again, it's
free.
